It sounds brash and arrogant, but it is really not an option, civilization must solve the climate crisis. It is not a choice. There are three ways: 1) Fumble along, as we have, since Kennedy to try to control CO2 emissions, although it has not work and all market mechanisms are against us. (Some conclude we must stop greed and profit motive; is it practical or desirable? No.)  Option 2) Pump all kinds of aerosols into the atmosphere is that practical or desirable? No; we are already doing that by default with fossil fuels. Option 3) develop real alternative solutions, to which we say: Yes we can! We must! 
    Civilization can resolve global warming, and even control sea levels, but we must look beyond conventional technologies and ideas. Harnessing the energy in the atmosphere is a natural solution. It is the fastest, most direct, and most powerful way to control the temperature of the planet. At the same time it drastically reduces need for the greatest causes of climate change; Oxidation of fossil fuels. The energy collection process can also control sea level at the maximum rate that it is expected to rise, by sequestering fresh water on land. This, of course, also solves the food and arable land problem. 

    The objective in this site is to facilitate action by disseminating understanding and thus to expedite development of Pluvinergy. Here are some ideas on what people can do now. 

   o  Read the book; especially if your are scientifically oriented. You will be surprised by the potential in the atmosphere and the elegant simplicity of Pluvinergy.

   o  Don't wait for the blessing of the scientific community, it will come in time, but we can't afford the methodical discussion time which conventional peer review requires. The author simply does not have the skills, tools, time, and other resources to present this properly. Even if a large institution was doing this, that process would take decades. By the same token, no one has shown any errors or faults in the logic and physics which can not be overcome for Pluvinergy. 

   o  Like us on Facebook and mention us on other social media. These are powerful tools that can help greatly at this point in Pluvinergy development. Stand by your own reason and understanding, you are as smart as you let yourself be.

   o  Let us know what ideas you might have to expedite development, weather you are a novice or an expert, every little bit counts.

   o  Pluvinergy must first be appreciated, then it can be understood, and then development can proceed. Discourse starts with each of us. It is as simple, and logical as it seems. Don't be afraid of it. 

   o  Talk to your friends and neighbors about Pluvinergy and honest solutions to resolve our greatest challenge today: Climate Change. 

   o  Remind the media and scientific community to discuss Pluvinergy. Help them to resolve questions so development can be accelerated. You can understand Pluvinergy, then you will know it is valid from every textbook you can refer to. 

   o  As this work develops greater functionality to facilitate these actions, they will be offered through this and related websites.

   This period in history offers an opportunity to make a difference with these great challenge. As we successfully solve these issues, we will participate in an ascension for humanity as great as any in human history. 

    Pluvinergy is a technology that can makes the difference between ascension with growing global harmony and ecological balance, or despair.  

   Despite the popular news, civil harmony has been growing along with wealth. Pluvinergy is a continuation of this ascension. It must be so, because building Pluvinergy requires a much greater level of reason in discourse. That in turn, elevates discussion of other more divisive issues. 

Controlling Sea Level

   It's easy to fall into despair about sea level rise. It seems impossible to save the low-level nations and coastal cities from nearly certain destruction. However, if Pluvinergy works, even if not as effectively as offered here, it is sufficiently powerful to control sea level. When combined with Pluvicopia up to 20 meters of SLR can be controlled as it develops. 

We can illustrate the idea with some simple numbers. One powerplant producing 150 tons of freshwater per second, of which 130 would stay on land (86%.) It would take 78 years to lower sea level 1mm. So 780 plants would lower sea level 1 cm per year. Pluvicopia water production plants can produce 4 times as much water or more. It is only a matter of being able to accommodate fresh water into aquifers. In such a case, we have significant tools to control sea level. 

Displaced water from Pluvinergy is enough to raise soil moisture at powerplants' foot print and surrounding areas, enough to grow crops, but not much more. Whereas Pluvicopia can produce vast amounts of water to supply all the water we can ever use for soil moisture. The challenge is increasing aquifer recharge rates, but it is a manageable task too. 

For illustration: According to USGS figures, if we were to convert 60% of the world's deserts to agriculture, and that required that we double the total soil moisture of the planet, it would only lower sea level by about 46 mm. Let's say we also double the lake content of the planet, including salt lakes. That only adds up to 490 mm. So the only solution for  worse case climate change scenarios (IPCC, AR5), is to sequester fresh water in new and existing aquifers. 

According to these figures from USGS, 30% of the underground water on the planet equals about 20 meters of SLR. This is equal to melting all of the Greenland ice sheet, plus one and a halve times that much from Antarctica. If this occurs over 500 years, than the rate per year is 40 mm per year, or 4 meters per century. This worse case scenarios, would only materialize in the first century, because Pluvinergy can control climate setting for the planet within 100 years of deployment. 

As Greenland ice melts along with Antarctica, the sea level will be rising aggressively. Pluvinergy and Pluvicopia could remove it at just about any rate currently proposed.  

That being the case, we could lower sea level while at the same time we can also reduce the amount of ice on land. Both options increase land available for humanity or other species. We are not recommending such actions, that will be for future generations to determine. The point is, we have a choices, when we have tools as powerful as Pluvinergy and Pluvicopia.

However, none of this will be possible if civilization disintegrates before we deploy these tools. Even if we do develop BAE in the next century, and civilization remains viable, we will have lost huge portions of biodiversity if we don't act expediently. 

The next ten or twenty years are critical for the viability of current biodiversity, and continued prosperity of civilization.

About Pluvicopia:
Pluvicopia is a new development, as ventured on page 225 and 226 of the Pluvinergy book. Its purpose is not to produce energy so much as copious amounts of water. 

The key is that energy already in the atmosphere is accessible. Pluvinergy shows how, Pluvicopia makes it 40 times cheaper to access the water, and a little bit of the energy. Pluvicopia will move water that would rain on the sea, or via destructive storms, onto the orderly land precipitation. It can easily produce any amount we design. The biggest challenge is making the land ready to receive it. Erosion and flooding must be planned for, but since it is limited to a very small area, it is economically practical.   

Proof of principal is inordinately simple, and is planned for spring of 2016, paid from our own resources. It should cost less than $10,000.

A second prototype, suitable for investor considerations, will be built as soon as funds are established, This will be as little as $300,000, if necessary, but a $2,000,000 system is our preferred objective. 

This should be available for viewing within 3 years if all goes as well as we expect. 
Pluvicopia is much cheaper, and easier to build. Wish us well.

Carbonosphere Definition

Pluvicopia and Pluvinergy are BAE technologies. It is good to have a shortcut to talk about what we mean by these terms. Carbonosphere is a useful term to define in simpler terms so we can talk about the balances of the environment which we address.

Carbonosphere: The dynamic balance of carbon, specifically as it is related to the O2 and CO2 levels, in the atmosphere and the oceans. 

Carbon exists on earth as both energy neutral or energy negative bonds with other chemicals. These are rocks and other substances, such as limestone, marble, etcetera. 

As part of a dynamic cycle, life uses carbon to store positive chemical energy balances; when oxidized these molecules release energy. These chemical bonds in molecules which we call fossil fuels or biomass. 

The energy systems, which civilization must grow out of, oxidize the carbonosphere to power and facilitate civilization.  

This unsustainable experiment causes climate to change. It will ultimately lead to planetary collapse for current megafauna. This should be the ultimate concern for civilization. This is likely to happen within one thousand years unless the experiment, to reengineer the carbonosphere, is stopped within this century. 

Anthropogenic oxidation of the carbonosphere is only 4% of the oxidation rate from nature, this apparently small additional rate can throw the natural cycle out of balance, by catastrophic collapse of the cryosphere, and the burning of forests or collapse of ocean life cycles.  

BAE, through Pluvicopia and Pluvinergy, controls desirable, and thus benign, carbonosphere balances. It retains friendly carbonosphere dynamics for most species and biomes. 

These technologies work directly with the heat and water content of the atmosphere and are at sufficient scale to make adjustments at the global level. 

Illustrations of Good and Evil necessary for a Pluvi-Technology Era
    This humanistic conception of good and evil was developed for Pluvinergy justifications, because Pluvinergy and Pluvicopia, when fully deployed, can cool the planet. This means we must define what is good and what is bad change and so, the need for these musings. 

    The simplest conceptions of good consider only benefit and harm, but usual discussion adds the idea of ignorance and knowledge, the apple story from the bible gets at this idea, adding the third dimension of pleasure and grief quantifies motivation which may lead us astray if we act in the wrong octant. 

    With this 3D convention we can find our way from harmful outcomes to the best outcomes, without getting lost in unwelcome didactics or fractured dialectics. It also justifies why education and scientific inquiry are necessary.  
Here we can visualize how the objective octant has all the good, and none of the bad. This is what we want and so this is the "objective". The other octants names may need better descriptors, but the names chosen let us talk about the lack of desirability in each, and lets us strategize about how to guide effort in the direction of the "objective".
    The Octant of evil is where pleasure in doing harm with full knowledge leads the actor to grow deeper into the octant. This appeal of evil is a common descriptor in all cultures. The objective is inverted from providing benefit to creating or serving harm. The most interesting thing about this definitions is that in the Octant of Evil, the actor declares opposition to the community. This can be in miniscule ways, in bothersome antisocial behavior, or in terrorism, they are all of the same sort, but differ only in quantifiable harm, knowledge, and pleasure. 

    Considering production of fuel from the tar sands of Canada would be considered evil if the actors knew that tar sands fuels cause harm and if they took pleasure in doing harm. We can postulate that their pleasure is in making Canada warmer, at the expense of the rest of the world, and that proponents enjoy the both prospects. If they acted from ignorance then it would be in the octant of Folly. The usefulness of this construction is that we can talk about and measure the relative criteria to justify validity of an argument. 
    We can understand "Heroism" from this perspective as providing benefit in full knowledge of the grief incurred by the actor. This is consistent with what most cultures consider heroic. In this case, we can easily distinguish the definition of a hero and a sports idol. 

   The argument could be refined to include how athletes advance capability by working in the "channel of flow" as described in the book "Flow". In such an argument we could show how a sports Idol is working in the Objective octant, because "flow" is pleasurable, not grief despite overcoming setbacks, pain, and hard work. 3D construction lets us define terms better.  

We can expand, indefinitely, on moving along each axis, both as a matter of discussion and strategy, from each of these octants.    
Tragedy can be understood and calibrated in the level of knowledge, harm, and grief of its actors. 
    We can move from serendipity to the objective by moving up in the knowledge axis. There is a vane of inquiry, which could lead us to argue that capitalism leads us to this octant and the objective, whereas communism leads us away from these. The 3D perspective allows argument of this interesting exploration. Other constructions do not allow meaningful discussion as easily.  
     Finally, the advent of disaster can be prevented with knowledge. It may even be possible to move to the "objective" octant by knowing the likely harm, and converting the result into benefit.

    Pluvinergy's study indicates that rhythmic displacement of ice masses by cycles of solar radiation is a better motivator for plate tectonics. Despite this being at odds with conventional science, the potential for disaster indicated is great. Learning if this a valid course if inquiry could move us away from disaster though preparation in vulnerable areas such as the West Coast of the USA or increased volcanic activity in Yellowstone. 

    We could go one step further, reducing global warming by developing Pluvinergy and Pluvicopia turns harm into benefit, thus we would move from the octant of disaster to the "objective".   

   The construction shows how "folly" hails from ignorance not arrogance, as we commonly assume, and it prescribes a solution too, increase knowledge. Avoiding pitfalls in investing is easy; learn about your equities. 
    Perseverance with acceptance of one's ignorance, and suffering, can results in benefit. It is the value of faith. The Pilgrims did not know that Plymouth Rock was emptied from native inhabitants by European decease, but they benefited from their perseverance; they suffered betrayal by the ship agents, and late season arrival in the new world, but found benefit through providence.  
   The "Objective" Octant is where we have Knowledge and take Pleasure in creating Benefit. It's like the father knows best sitcom, it might not be realistic, but it's a good representation of an ideal. 

   The good thing about this objective is that we can approach, and drive toward the ideal by increasing knowledge, identifying benefit, and taking pleasure in that drive. The many billionaires who pledge their wealth to doing good for civilization are testament to this range of good. The Bill and Melinda Gates foundation is designed to push for this ideal. This is what we mean by philanthropic, or altruistic; it is taking pleasure in learning how to do the most good.  

    We can strategize how to  move to this Octant, by quantifying location, and likely dynamics of movement in and from the other octants.
